Players from all countries can PLAY!
I haven't made it to Monte Carlo yet. I'd really love to go, nevertheless it seems the airlines insist on my paying full price for myself and my wife. Bummer. I almost got there many years ago during a surge of wonderful poker (read: lucky breaks) where I won some online tournaments and was able to play at the European Poker Tour, but that's another story. This story is less about poker, and more about travel. Do you play on the same place all of the time, or move from casino to casino? How about your vacations? Is the proximity to casinos an element - a massive factor?
I do not want a casino to enjoy a vacation, or I WOULD NOT head to Hawaii on any regular basis, but when I'VE a decision of several spots and there are casinos at one, well, yeah, I'm guaranteed to find the poker tables. I walked through Pachinko parlors in Tokyo, played roulette within the Bahamas, risked life and limb to play blackjack (and count cards) in Panama, and lost my Aunt Fanny at clubs in Calgary and British Columbia. It is all good, but I still need to see the fancy-schmantzy casinos in Europe. The sort where you must join 24-hours prematurely to play. I'd love to see Trente et Quarante played on the big casino in Monte Carlo. Presently it ain't happening.
However, when you play online, it's such as you can travel anywhere in a couple of minutes. I've played on sites like Paddy Power, where you'll be able to checkout the Irish Poker Open and feel such as you are in Dublin; and Bet365 that gives live dealers, so that you feel such as you are within the Philippines, and you may play a wide variety of games you can not get within the states, like Xóc Đĩa and Fan Tan. That's pretty cool. So, until I make it overseas again, I'll persist with the web. How about you?
As for local casinos, I REALLY LIKE the range of various places to play and different games, so I don't' get tied to a single casino, except in a couple of towns where one place suits our must a tee. Any thoughts on that?
