Alright, everyone knows that during the movie The Godfather, sleeping with the fishes was a nasty thing (really bad in case you were the man who died), but on the Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas it is not so terrible. I got slightly sun sleeping with the fishes on the H20 pool while my wife and daughters rode the massive water slide throughout the 200,000 gallon shark tank over and over.
The shark tank is pretty amazing, because you can swim up within the pool and spot dozens of fish and lots of big sharks cruise past you, an easy inch of glass clear of your face. That's cool, and so is the slide, which even those people sufficiently old to gamble can enjoy. If, at the other hand, you do not need to swim or sleep with the fishes, you'll play a bit of blackjack right there for your swimsuit. And, your dealer might be doing so of their own swimsuit, a small one.
As always there is a payoff for this sort of thing in Las Vegas, and while I'm personally against it, the blackjack payoff on these tables (as with most "party pits" in Vegas at the present time) is 6-5. Simply to set the record straight, I did play a couple of hands with my friends on the H20 tables, strictly for research, and everybody had a really perfect time, and a few folks took our winnings inside where we played Free Bet Blackjack for much more fun. Besides, I never got a blackjack available in the market on the pool, but I did get a sunburn. I'll live.
